Ubuntu / Linux news and application reviews.

Today is Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala artwork deadline which means all the artwork will remain unchanged from now on, until Karmic is released. There have been a lot of updates today, so let's take a look at how Ubuntu Kamic Koala will look like.

I'll begin with the end :) meaning the log-out screen which I saw as soon as I updated and wanted to restart Karmic Alpha 6:

The Human theme has been updated, and it's now a darker brown (slightly red i'd say):

In case you were wondering where you have seen this before, take a look at how Breezy looked like (Ubuntu 5.10):

Humanity Icon set is default, after this update:

New backgrounds, including a new automatic changing wallpaper (somewhat like the automatic real-time Earth wallpaper we posted on Web Upd8 a few days ago) called Cosmos, which changes every 30 minutes:

This is it for now, but today is not over yet, so other changes may come. I'll keep you updated!
